Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment with Atelier Aesthetics you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions.

1. BOOKINGS

Appointments can be made through our online booking system or directly with Atelier Aesthetics.

When making a booking, you are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date contact information and for completing any required medical or treatment information honestly and accurately.

There is no booking fee or deposit required to secure an appointment.

Appointment times are reserved specifically for each client. We therefore ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

2. CONSULTATIONS

Consultations at Atelier Aesthetics are complimentary.

A consultation may be required before a treatment can be performed, particularly where a treatment requires an assessment of your medical history, anatomy, suitability or treatment goals.

A consultation does not guarantee that a particular treatment will be recommended or provided.

Your practitioner may recommend an alternative treatment, postpone treatment or decline to treat where they consider treatment unsuitable or unsafe.

3. MEDICAL HISTORY & DISCLOSURE

For your safety, you must provide complete and accurate information regarding your medical history, medications, allergies, previous cosmetic treatments, current health conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, and any other information reasonably relevant to your treatment.

You must notify Atelier Aesthetics if your health circumstances or medications change between appointments.

Failure to provide accurate or complete information may affect your eligibility for treatment and may increase the risk of complications.

Atelier Aesthetics reserves the right to postpone or decline treatment where insufficient information is available to safely proceed.

4. CLINICAL ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT SUITABILITY

All treatments are subject to individual clinical assessment.

Your practitioner will use their professional judgement to determine whether a treatment is appropriate for you.

The treatment requested or selected when booking may be changed, modified or declined following consultation if it is considered clinically inappropriate, contraindicated or unlikely to achieve a suitable outcome.

Your practitioner may also recommend a different treatment or treatment plan based on your individual anatomy, goals and circumstances.

5. INFORMED CONSENT

Before treatment, you will be provided with information relevant to the procedure, including expected outcomes, potential risks, possible side effects, alternatives and appropriate aftercare.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions before providing informed consent.

Consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn before treatment is performed.

Separate treatment-specific consent may be required for certain procedures.

6. TREATMENT RESULTS

Aesthetic treatments are individual and outcomes vary between clients.

While I aim to achieve natural, balanced and satisfactory results, specific results cannot be guaranteed.

Factors including individual anatomy, metabolism, skin quality, lifestyle, previous treatments and adherence to aftercare may influence treatment outcomes.

Your practitioner will discuss realistic expectations with you before treatment.

7. FOLLOW-UP & REVIEW

Where appropriate, your practitioner may recommend a follow-up appointment to assess your treatment and progress.

A follow-up or review does not automatically mean that additional treatment will be required or provided.

Any additional treatment will be determined on an individual clinical basis.

8. COMPLICATIONS & ADVERSE EVENTS

Although every reasonable precaution is taken to minimise risk, all medical and aesthetic treatments carry potential risks and side effects.

You agree to follow the aftercare instructions provided by Atelier Aesthetics.

If you experience unexpected, concerning or significant symptoms following treatment, you should contact Italia Aesthetics as soon as possible. Depending on the circumstances, you may also be advised to seek urgent medical attention or contact emergency services.

Failure to follow recommended aftercare may affect your treatment outcome and may increase the risk of complications.

9. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

There is no cancellation fee where the required notice is provided.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, Italia Aesthetics reserves the right to apply the applicable cancellation policy.

We understand that genuine emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur and will consider these on a case-by-case basis.

10. NO-SHOW POLICY

If you fail to attend your appointment without providing notice, no-show fee may apply.

Repeated no-shows may result in additional booking requirements or the inability to make future appointments without prior arrangements.

11. LATE ARRIVALS

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

If you arrive late, the time available for your treatment may be reduced.

Depending on the amount of time remaining, your practitioner may need to modify the treatment or may determine that it is not appropriate to proceed.

If there is insufficient time to safely complete your treatment, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

12. PRICING & PAYMENT

Treatment prices will be communicated before treatment is undertaken.

Prices may vary depending on the treatment provided, the amount of product required and the individual treatment plan.

Payment is due at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed.

Atelier Aesthetics reserves the right to update treatment pricing from time to time. Any applicable pricing will be confirmed before treatment is provided.

13. REFUNDS & REMEDIES

We want every client to feel informed and comfortable with their treatment.

If you have concerns regarding a treatment or service, please contact Atelier Aesthetics promptly so that the matter can be assessed and an appropriate response determined.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under applicable New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where applicable.

14. PHOTOGRAPHY

Clinical photographs may be taken where they are clinically relevant to your treatment, assessment, progress or medical record.

Clinical photographs will be stored securely as part of your health information.

Your clinical photographs will not be used for marketing, social media, advertising or promotional purposes without your separate consent.

Where you provide consent for photographs to be used for marketing purposes, you may withdraw that consent for future use by contacting Italia Aesthetics.

15. PRIVACY & HEALTH INFORMATION

Italia Aesthetics takes the privacy and security of your personal and health information seriously.

Information collected from you may include your contact details, medical history, treatment information, photographs, consent documentation and other information reasonably required to provide safe and appropriate care.

Your information will be collected, stored, used and disclosed in accordance with applicable New Zealand privacy requirements, including the Privacy Act 2020 and Health Information Privacy Code 2020.

Your information will only be used or disclosed for appropriate purposes, including providing and managing your care, maintaining your clinical records, communicating with you about your treatment, and where otherwise permitted or required by law.

You may request access to your personal health information and request correction of information that you believe is inaccurate, subject to applicable legal requirements.

16. COMMUNICATION

Atelier Aesthetics may contact you using the contact details you provide for purposes relating to your appointment, treatment, aftercare and other relevant clinic communications.

Please ensure your contact details remain current.

Marketing communications, where applicable, will be handled separately and in accordance with applicable requirements.

17. PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

Treatments are provided in accordance with the practitioner’s professional obligations, scope of practice, clinical judgement and applicable standards.

Where a practitioner considers that a requested treatment is outside their professional scope, inappropriate or unsafe, they may decline to provide it.

18. CONCERNS & COMPLAINTS

If you have a concern about your treatment or experience at Atelier Aesthetics, please contact us directly so that we can discuss the matter and work towards an appropriate resolution.

We take client concerns seriously and aim to respond respectfully, fairly and promptly.

19. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Atelier Aesthetics may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The current version will be made available through our booking system or website.

Your continued use of our booking services after an updated version has been published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms & Conditions, to the extent permitted by law.

20. ACCEPTANCE

By booking an appointment with Atelier Aesthetics, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read and understand these Terms & Conditions.

You understand that aesthetic treatments involve potential risks and variable outcomes and that treatment decisions will be based on an individual clinical assessment.

These Terms & Conditions do not replace treatment-specific informed consent or clinical advice provided by your practitioner.
